Badgley, Crawford, And Westwick

Their last names together do make them sound like a law firm, as Details magazine points out.

The male stars of Gossip Girl, Penn Badgley, Chace Crawford, and Ed Westwick cover the November issue of Details. These guys always take mucho attractive photos when it's the three of them.

The issue has them talking about Penn having to shave his chest hair because it's deemed "sexually threatening", Chace being labeled as a "gayface", and the meaning of Ed's tattoo's.

Dan, Nate, and Chuck were also flown to Sweden @ the beginning of the year to promote the show and take part in a photo shoot.

Penny, Are 'Ya Sick?

Janet Jackson canceled her concert last night in Montreal after suddenly becoming ill. She was taken to the hospital and released two hours later. Charlene (JJ's Different Strokes character) also nixed scheduled plans to perform in Boston and Philly tomorrow and Thursday. North Carolina still seems to be a go for Saturday.


What's funny is they still haven't disclosed what went wrong with Miss Nasty.

Maybe she caught whatever bug Jermaine Dupri had @ his birthday party when he reportedly threw up in her lap.

Blake Lively Kissing Up John Patrick Amedori

So Blake Lively aka Serena van der Woodsen on Gossip Girl, was shooting a scene this morning in the middle of Times Square with John Patrick Amedori, the dude who plays Aaron Rose, her new boyfriend on the series. He'll appear in episode 8 I think. I don't know if it was for the show but while they were kissing, it splashed on the jumbo tron for all to see. It looked hella big, too. Dang, what's Badgley gonna say about that? Wonder if the rumor that Lively and Badgley have been fighting here and there ring true? Yet they're seen walking her dog @ 1am this weekend and eating out last night.

Speaking of Gossip Girl, last night's episode sucked ka-ka in my book. The only interesting parts were Chuck's (Ed Westwick) sad confession to Dan (Penn Badgley) and Bart's dossier on Lily. I actually left the room during the show and even changed the channel! And I've never done that. Even though Blair (Leighton Meester) was screeching loudly and annoyingly @ times, she didn't deserve the shit Serena gave her in their two solo scenes together.

"I'm just tired of trying to hold myself back so I don't outshine you" (or something like that). And then, the ultimatum she gave Blair @ the end! Oh, shut the fuck up, Serena. Blair's always had your back (Thanksgiving, backing Vanessa off Dan, searching the city for you all night, getting rid of Georgina, forgiving you for sexing up Nate, and so on). And I'm more of an S fan.

You know, Lipstick Jungle is getting really good. We should just watch that.

Rumors have been circulating for months now that two of the stars on the new 90210, Jessica Stroup (Silver) and Dustin Milligan (Ethan), have been getting hot and heavy behind the scenes. And pictures have recently surfaced of the young duo leaving Jessica's place.

They kinda look good together, yeah? His cuteness is kinda growing on me.

Why'd I Spend So Much?

That always happens to me. It probably happens to most of us. I go to Tarjay and it never fails; I always end up spending @ least $100. Things add up so quickly. I bought toilet paper, a small bottle of detergent, dental floss! Little drummer girl's goldfish crackers and deli meat. And a few other things of course but dang! And Sex and the City was sold out! I didn't think that would be possible. And to top it off, I glanced @ my receipt later and noticed the cashier charged me for an extra bottle of pop. Plus deposit!

Grey's Anatomy is Back!

Yay for all the GA viewers. We are treated to a 2 hour season premiere for their 5th season. And Derek (Patrick Dempsey) & Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) stay together. Forever. I love when my fave couples stay together. I don't find that boring @ all. Every show follows the cliche of putting a pair together and then breaking them up. For angst and sexual tension of course.

Sidebar - I never thought Luke (Scott Patterson) and Lorelai (Lauren Graham) would break up on Gilmore Girls, but of course, they followed the cliche. And then they got back together on the series finale and I felt cheated. No wedding, no nothin'.

But back to Grey's, what's up with that promo about Nurse Rose (what's her real name?) telling McDreamy she's preggers. Dream? Derek involved in a bad accident. Dream? Izzie (Katherine Heigl) still on the show. Dream?

Also exciting is the music they'll be playing throughout the episode. They have the best songs. Sometimes when you're going trough something or talking to someone, are you also imagining a song playing right then and there?

Fiesta Potatoes

I don't know why I went to Taco Bell for lunch. Maybe because I'm hooked on those Frutista Freeze drinks they sell. I should have just stuck to my packed lunch. Now I don't feel so good.

Also, I ordered those small cheesy fiesta potatoes and I wound up with a potato burrito. I didn't even know they sold that. I ate it anyway just so I wouldn't waste it.

Now I have to burn off these calories. 3,500 calories equals 1 pound. That's so much if one is trying to lose weight. I need to get in shape and I keep telling myself to work out during lunch; I practically asked the bosses to invest in an elliptical machine and who knows if anyone is using it now. I told myself tomorrow. Is that too soon? BAH!

Drew Barrymore Snogging Ed Westwick

Last night in Manhattan, the Kings of Leon had a show and Drew Barrymore & Ed Westwick (of Gossip Girl) also put on a show during the concert. They were macking. Making out. Necking. Kissy kissy. All that good stuff. When word got around, it was rumored to be Chace Crawford sucking face with Drew but concert goers confirmed it was Ed, although Chace was around. Vanity Fair even got a picture of the two in action but you can't see their faces.

Barrymore & Westwick were also @ the SNL after party last weekend. He with Gossip Girl co-stars Penn Badgley, Blake Lively, and Crawford. Her with Cameron Diaz maybe.

Chace sure has been spending quality time with his GG co-stars. He was with them on Saturday, had dinner with Penn & Blake (are they breaking up?) on Monday @ Nobu, and then buddied up with Ed last night. Will he be going to the movies tonight with Leighton Meester and Jessica Szohr?

I wonder if there's a scene where Diane is sitting in a train and then suddenly bolts to take off her underwear? HaHaHa! Classic. Oh, Unfaithful. The movie that is, where that scene takes place. I seem to always watch it when it's on TNT. I know you do too. Yes, I'm talking to...you.

Dance Party USA

Remember this show from the late 80's? God, I was obsessed with Dance Party USA and totally crushing on Ed-D Tully. Remember the lightening lip-syncs, Dance & Romance Thursday, Freaky Friday, and so on? And I know there are those closet DPU fans lurking around. I am proud/embarrassed to say that I have some shows on tape. But the best ones I recorded were on Betamax and have been searching for those for years so I can convert them to DVD's. But alas, they have gone missing. Betamax? Betamax?

Kelly Ripa is the most popular dance member to make it big. First, with All My Children and of course, cute as a button co-host of Live! with Regis and Kelly. But she never talks about it. One day, when I go to New York and watch a Live taping, I will flag her down and ask about her time on the show. Just like how I asked the members of Color Me Badd about their experience with the cast of 90210 eons and eons ago.

I'm sorry, but Gossip Girl was so good last night. I thoroughly enjoyed Serena easily taking over the Queen B (or S in her case) status, stemming from her sadness. Just like that, she turned on her inner bitch. Blake Lively owned that episode! I loved how everyone shunned Dan (Penn Badgley) @ the end because she silently said so. And her slo-mo walk in the courtyard was genius. Poor Blair; she didn't do anything but watch out for S & mourn the demise of her relationship with the Lord because he was banging his cougar step-mom. Maybe the minions will leave Jenny alone since Serena seems to be fond of her and vice-versa. Nate? A blip on screen? And all this shit kept hitting the fan because Chuck Bass was behind everything! Amanda (didn't really like Dan, HA!), the Nairtini, Dan's trip to loserville, the rise of S and the fall of B. Bravo! And the scene when Serena wraps her scarf around Blair indicating she was back in control was scary. How long before S's Chanel scarves bow out and B's headbands make a return?

In real life GG news, Leighton Meester attended the Kids for Kids Carnival in NYC last Saturday with boyfriend Sebastian Stan (who played Carter Baizen, ex van der Woodsen bed buddy), Kelly Rutherford, and Connor Paolo.

And Monday afternoon, Leighton was rehearsing scenes with Lively (can I have her scarf?) and Chuck Bass himself, Ed Westwick.

Shannen Is All Gappy

That seems to be the topic regarding Shannen Doherty, best known as 90210's Brenda Walsh; her gap. What is up with it? At first, I could have sworn her gap was not in the middle, but on the side of her front teeth. You could totally see it during the early 90210 years. And now all of a sudden, it's in between her two front teeth. Just. How. Did. That. Happen? I tried looking for various pictures of her but she tends to not show her teeth and present a closed mouth smile.

Oh, and yesterday it was announced that the new 90210 has been picked up for a full season. I'm not feeling it as much. Kelly, Brenda, and Nat (plus the unseen Willie) do the trick for me but once they all say bye-bye, I may as well follow.

Sex And The City - The Movie

Yay! The Sex and the City movie (Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon, & Kristin Davis) comes out and I know you're all excited. I'm excited. Davis as Charlotte owns the scene where she yells @ Chris Noth's Mr. Big, "No! No!" Oh, yeah!

And you know what else comes out today? Yes, that's right. Cashmere Mafia! The short lived ABC drama (starring Lucy Lui and others) from earlier this year has been preserved. Well, the handful of episodes that they filmed. Should I buy it? If they only preserved Models, Inc!

The Return Of Television

Monday kicks off the season premieres of the most watched television shows. So few I have to remember, like Lipstick Jungle on Wednesday.

In the 8:00 hour tonight, three shows I follow are on @ the same time. What to do.

Dancing With The Stars kicks off a 3 night turn with all new contestants and not so great interviews by Samantha Harris. I hope Toni Braxton does well.How I Met Your Mother is on @ 8:30 and Kristin from E! News reported that a wedding was filmed last Friday. Was it Stella & Ted? Barney & Robin?
And of course Gossip Girl is supposed to be a really good episode. Serena shows her mean streak and takes the throne as Queen lashing out @ both Dan & Blair due to her break up with Dan.

James Franco hosted Saturday Night Live and Cameron Diaz made a surprise appearance as a cougar and Blake Lively showed up in a digital short talking about her small penis. Excellent.

Manic Monday

The Emmy's were so boring I fell asleep in the middle of it all and woke up towards the very end. I'm so happy for Tina Fey and 30 Rock though and felt that Neil Patrick Harris should have won for How I Met Your Mother.

Gosh, the best part was probably catching a glimpse of Susannah Hoffs from the Bangles. She's married to director Jay Roach, who won an award or two. She should've stormed the stage with her guitar and started playing Hazy Shade of Winter. Who wants my copy of All-Nighter? Why do I have a copy of All-Nighter?

Another hilarious moment was the TV Guide channel's red carpet arrivals. Lisa Rinna and Joey Fatone were interviewing Cloris Leachman about Dancing With The Stars and Cloris revealed that when they were doing blocking last week, she went pee-pee in her pants. OMG! Goodness gracious, why would she reveal that on national TV? And then Lisa Rinna suggested they provide Depends for her! Very odd indeed.

Emmy Awards - Will It Be A Yawn Fest?

So the Emmy Awards is on tonight and I'm not as excited as I used to be. Could I be growing out of my award show phases? The Oscars, AMA's, MTV VMA's, Golden Globes, etc. seemed so much more thrilling years and years ago. Now I seem to casually stumble upon these shows @ random.

Oh well. Mad Men will most likely sweep and 30 Rock should get recognized. We'll see.

SJP In My Neck Of The Woods

Sarah Jessica Parker was @ the Stoneridge Mall in Pleasanton on Wednesday to promote her new fragrance, Covet, and to sign autographs. Women of all ages showed up but there were a few men too. So I guess there were a bunch of ladies who called in sick yesterday or the stay @ home moms who needed sitters to catch a glimpse and a pic with Carrie Bradshaw herself. And no, I did not go.

And tonight, SJP was @ the New York City Public Library for the "Sex and the City: The Movie" DVD Launch Party. Joining her were co-stars Cynthia Nixon and Kim Cattrall. Kristin Davis was not there. Maybe she was out buying pudding!

Tina Fey Rocks!

Who saw Tina Fey last Saturday doing her dead on impersonation of Sarah Palin? That was the best part of the entire show. Who hosted? Oh yeah, Michael Phelps. But Fey so nailed it. Amy Poehler was great too, as Clinton.
Earlier that Saturday, Fey taped her show, 30 Rock, alongside guest star Oprah Winfrey. She'll be appearing on the second episode of the season (Nov. 6) as herself. Tina also released a statement saying her Oprah were officially best friends. She's genius! If you haven't watched 30 Rock, check it out on Thursdays on NBC. Even though the ratings aren't that great, I'm sure it'll spike when it premieres in October.

Blake Lively and Leighton Meester (who will be play Liz Lemon's high school peers in a flashback) have yet to do their scenes for 30 Rock even though Robyn Lively is said to be filming with Fey (as the grown up Blake) currently or very soon.

The show is also trying to get Steve Martin to do a cameo. Now he's funny. He did however, write and star in Shopgirl with Claire Danes and that was not a comedy. Who has seen that? That was kind of a dark movie.

New York based celebs turned out last night @ Cipriani's on 42nd Street for the 2008 Children's Fall Gala. Ooh, a gala! That's such a fancy word for party. I think I'll start using that more often. Do these famous people pay or make a contribution to go to these decked out soirees? On tonight's 90210, we are supposed to learn either the identity of Kelly Taylor's baby daddy or more info that would lead us to a likely conclusion. Kelly (Jennie Garth) did say it was someone she was with in high school. That doesn't necessarily rule out Brandon (Jason Priestley) just cause they dated in college and after. They do have high school history.

Word on the street (meaning my computer in my office) is that an original male cast member will be appearing but they haven't disclosed who it is just yet. It may be Jason Priestley, Luke Perry, Ian Ziering (no thanks), or James Eckhouse!

Movie Premieres In La La Land

There were a couple of things happening in the City of Angels last night. BTW, I just love LA!

My Best Friend's Girl had their premiere @ the Archlight Theatre on Sunset. Kate Hudson, Dane Cook, and Jason Biggs walked the red carpet and that's pretty much it.

Hudson's "Bride Wars" co-star, Anne Hathaway made her way to the west coast to premiere her latest film, Rachel Getting Married @ the Writers Guild Theatre. Rumor has it that Anne and Kate didn't get along while filming their movie. What's up with that? Something about Kate's friend (I forgot that dudes name, Burkle is it?)) investing money into Anne's crook of an ex-boyfriend's Vatican scheme, or something like it.Hudson denied a rift between the ladies and Hathaway was forced to give up jewelry that her ex "gave" her to the feds. Rolexes, rings, etc. Too bad...

Fall TV Season Kicking Off

The majority of the return of our favorite television shows begins next week. With the CW ahead of the curve with their premieres earlier this month and the same for Prison Break and Bones, I forgot about the main shows like How I Met Your Mother, Grey's Anatomy, ER, The Office, etc. I better remember to make a mental note.

Lipstick Jungle, which miraculously made the cut for another season (What? Cashmere Mafia?) had their premiere party last night @ Studio 450 in NYC. Brooke Shields, Kim Raver, and Lindsay Price (No 90210 for you, huh, Janet? Did Steve father Kelly Taylor's blond, curly haired son?) were all accounted for. Their male counterparts, Andrew McCarthy, Robert Buckley, and Paul Blackthorne showed up as well as guest stars Rosie Perez and Mary Tyler Moore. New episodes begin airing next Wednesday, Sept 24th. Will you watch?

No More Jason Morgan?

I have been watching soaps since I was like 4 years old. And Niki Smith was hella scary back then! I remember when One Life to Live's opening credits were just that sunset thingamajig and General Hospital had the sirens blaring as the ambulance raced by the screen. I even got excited when they introduced Loving as a new soap and was an avid Edge of Night viewer. Remember Preacher and Jody? Anyone? They were played by Lori Loughlin (Aunt Becky and now Debbie Wilson on 90210) and Charles Flohe. And all before I was 11.

Now I have moments where I'm soap obsessed and where I don't care. I'm @ the I don't care mode as of late but as all soap viewers know, it doesn't take a whole lot to catch up on a year's worth. General Hospital was the one for me this last year and I stopped watching a few months ago. Shannen Doherty finished filming her 4 episode stint last Monday on 90210 as Brenda Walsh. A rep for Doherty did say that she would consider doing more and the producers are down for it as well. In the mean time, Shannen said she is now focusing on pitching a pilot but made no elaboration. Her co-star Jennie Garth is set to continue on as guidance counselor Kelly Taylor after finishing her initial 6 episode commitment.

No other party goers were pictured with her. I hope she didn't get dressed up to be in the VIP section all by her lonesome. At least Sookie should have gone to greet her or even Lorelei! And where's the Sisterhood gang? I thought they were friends...

Saturday Stroll

With a vow to not drink alcohol this weekend, I got up this morning and decided to get little drummer girl dressed and drive to the Stanford shopping mall. It was a nice day so we walked through the outdoor vicinity. I picked up a few items for myself. Why not?

I don't remember which store we were in but some chick walked up to little drummer girl and threw her some compliments. She asked her how old she was and what was her name; little drummer girl answered her, which surprised me. I said thanks and thought she'd be on her way but she stood there and I freaked out a little. She introduced herself ("Hi, I'm Rachel") and then revealed her purpose; "Rachel" was a recruiter from LA and there was an invitation only casting call happening tomorrow and they were looking for kids to audition for TV shows. Even though she has a knack for reviewing shows and then asking me to act out scenes with her, I declined stating the reserved and camera shy persona that is little drummer girl. Maybe after some time has passed and little drummer girl starts to become less reserved, will "we" pursue our Tina Yothers dream.

Oh man, I forgot to check and see if Sprinkles had already opened. Gotta go back for sure.

Kelly's Baby Daddy On 90210

So according to People magazine, Kelly Taylor's baby daddy will be revealed by name on Sept. 16th. Brenda (Shannen Doherty) will say his name during a confrontation with Kelly (Jennie Garth). And if any of you read my post from last week I think, then you know who it could possibly be. Also, if you've seen the promos, they show Brenda saying this to Kelly, "You're never gonna be happy with someone else because you're still in love with _____". Garth and Doherty were told who the father was and they liked it. Both Luke Perry and Jason Priestley (who played Dylan McKay and Brandon Walsh) have stated they have no plans to make appearances on the new 90210. Yeah, right.

I really wanted Brandon to be the father but it doesn't look like it's going that way. That a-sucks. Maybe Nat's the father! Or John Sears!

BFF's Courteney Cox and Jennifer Aniston hung out together in New York for the opening of the Propr clothing line which Cox's husband, David Arquette is somehow a part of. Is he a partner or one of the designers? Who knows, I don't remember. Why don't they invite Lisa Kudrow to one of their many outings and vacations?

Philip Lim is a cool designer. I like his stuff. Do you know Philip Lim? Anyway, Leighton Meester and Emmy Rossum were @ his show on Wednesday. Are these two friends? I've seen them photographed together a bunch of times, but all @ events. They must have the same agent, publicist, or something. Who's heard Leighton cover Bette Davis Eyes? How does she even know that song? She's like 22.

He pleaded guilty to misappropriating funds from business investors for personal lavish lifestyle use. Dang, she's lucky she didn't marry Rico Soave.

All About The CW Teen Shows

Why must I get sucked in to all these teen shows? They'll never end.

Let's go backwards here.

First, did anybody watch Privileged? It held my attention but I may be able to do without this one (Zach from the OC!). It'll probably last the entire season and I have a feeling it may not make it.

I thought last night's 90210 was better than the 2 hour premiere. Clearly, Jessica Stroup ("Erin Silver") is way better than Shenae Grimes ("Annie Wilson"). It does look like "Annie" is trying too hard with her acting and it's funny, because she did so well playing Darcy on Degrassi. What gives? And the guys aren't that hot. Ryan and Harry (Rob Estes) are the best looking ones. The fellow who plays Ethan is kinda good looking but he's no Zack Morris. Give us more Kelly, Silver, and Jackie scenes please! What was up with Naomi's facial expressions the entire episode? I think Junior Sibling liked the way she looked last night. Here's her picture just for you, JS.

One Tree Hill. Nathan (James Lafferty) and Lucas (Chad Michael Murray); there's some good looking bros. Okay, okay, Skillz (Flower Girl's favorite) too! Nanny Carrie is crazy! Me thinks that Daphne Zuniga hired that thug to beat and rob Brooke's store but targeted Millicent and B Davis got caught in the crossfire. Nanny Carrie and Zuniga co-starred as mother and daughter on one of the shows I liked but got canceled (again!); Beautiful Girls on ABC Family.

And the best part on Gossip Girl? No, not Blair (Leighton Meester) catching Nate (Chace Crawford) humping her boyfriend's mother. Not Dan (Penn Badgley) & Serena (Blake Lively) having nuk-nuk in Jitney bathrooms and elevators. But Blair's right hand maid, Dorota (probably my favorite character) leading Dan to Blair's party. In sunglasses! Best.Scene.Ever.

And then Blair taking Dan by the hand, "Dan! Hi! Come meet the Lord!"

Pacey Went To Visit Joey Potter

Katie Holmes got a surprise visit on Monday from former boyfriend and Dawson's Creek co-star Joshua Jackson. She was in rehearsals for her upcoming play, All My Sons, in New York when Jackson showed up with flowers. Aww!

Hope she didn't get a yelling from Tom Cruise.

My Cup Of Coffee Cost Me Almost $5.00

I went to work early this morning (yeah, I did) and decided to take a break (which I usually don't do) around 9am. I drove to the Pruneyard and perused Barnes & Noble but nothing grabbed my attention. I sashayed over to Starbucks and ordered a grande latte. Why did it total $4.55? It wasn't even a venti! Was there gold and rays of sunshine sprinkled inside?


There's $4.55 I'll never see again...

Sarah and Vinnie Regaining Listeners

There seems to be a high volume of interest in the bay area's Sarah and Vinnie show on Alice 97.3. I'm one of those folks who are glad to be listening as they have recaptured my interest for some reason. I don't know what it is. And to have Kathy back is pretty cool, isn't it? And when Uzette fills in for her, it's just as cool. When are they all going to be on air @ the same time?

But they have somewhat of a new format. They are starting to play music in the last hour I think. I was surprised around 9:30 when songs were playing. I thought they switched times and got off the air a half hour before 10. We'll see if it works for them.

Sarah and Vinnie are throwing a breakfast next Tuesday @ Tres Agaves. Is Kathy going? What about Uzette?

Sarah's been around a hella long time! Usually, DJ's come and go, but she's remained with the station for over a decade. Does she share the same agent as Don Bleu?

Blake Lively Turns 21! Really!

Blake Lively turned 21 (not 31) on August 25th and spent it by having cheeseburgers with boyfriend Penn Badgley and then going home to watch Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. But the real party happened Saturday night @ The Palace Hotel in NYC. It was a Jazz theme and her guests were required to don 20's attire (my work did that 2 years ago). Blake chose a really nice Ralph Lauren dress and Penn looked really good all dressed up in a full on tuxedo with tails. I thought Jessica Szohr (Vanessa Abrams) looked great. Some girl's brother went and snapped this picture of the cast. Georgina Sparks showed up and where was Kelly Rutherford?

And on Sunday, Blake and Penn went to see the closing show of Rent.

Leighton Meester and Jessica attended Diane Von Furstenberg's fashion show on Sunday wearing matching colors. What's all this news about Leighton being born in jail? I believe it was a halfway house. Her mother was sent back to jail after she delivered Leighton.

Man, I didn't realize that Kristen's voice was that deep. Man! She kinda sounded like one. I should carefully review Twilight's promos and check if her voice is fitting. Her name is supposed to be Bella and not Fella, right? She's a very pretty girl and Pattinson and her make a beautiful (onscreen) couple.

Actress Anne Hathaway was @ the Toronto International Film Festival to premiere her movie, Rachel Getting Married on Saturday. Her performance in the film has been causing a lot of buzz and some say she could potentially pick up some awards. Hathaway plays Kym, a drug addict (or former one, I'm not sure) who returns home for her sister's wedding and drama ensues.

Anne broke up with her crook boyfriend and seems to be getting along fine (on the outside) on her own. Her hair is really nice, she was spotted singing karaoke @ the Green Door Lounge with her The Devil Wears Prada co-star Emily Blunt, who recently broke up with Michael Buble. And she was supposedly seen getting cozy with Josh Lucas. Yeah, he's hot; go for him!

Hathaway got her start on the FOX series, Get Real, and of course it barely lasted a season and of course, it was a favorite of mine. And of course I have the series archived on VHS. It was a really good show. Anyone remember that?

Mermaids Reunited For Fashion

DKNY's Spring 2009 Collection fashion show happened on Saturday as part of the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. Sitting in the front row were Nicole Richie, Winona Ryder, and Christina Ricci.

Remember, Winona and Christina's first movie together? Mermaids! Of course you do. All that was missing was Cher (and a little Michael Shoeffling). They look so good now, right? See, you only get cooler as you get older.

Fashion Week In New York

Despite the rainy weather in New York, Fashion Week presses on. Charlotte Ronson showcased her designs on Saturday and the paps had a field day as Ronson's sister, Samantha came with reported girlfriend, Lindsay Lohan. Mark Ronson provided the music @ the show.

The Rock and Republic show was a full house later in the day and Mary Kate Olsen, Chace Crawford, and Jessica Szohr were in the front row. Crawford and Szohr quickly exited afterwards to head over to another party @ The Palace Hotel. And the Rag & Bone flagship store opened in the West Village earlier this week. Now they have some cool stuff, Rag & Bone.

The Women Premiere

The cast of the long overdue film, The Women premiered on Thursday @ Mann's Theatre in Hollywood. Warren Beatty came out to support his wife and cast member, Annette Bening. Will Smith also showed up with wife Jada Pinkett Smith (it's a Different World...). Who knows who lead star Meg Ryan came with but Cloris Leachman was there! She signed the most autographs! Debra Messing didn't even bother going over to sign there or @ the after party. I've heard stories about her during her Will & Grace days and how she wasn't cool. I thought it may have been a mistake but maybe not so. Eva Mendes, who plays the other woman on the film, showed up and happily signed photos.

The Women opens this Friday, Sept 12th and there isn't a man shown in the entire film. Is that how the original was? I've read many comments stating they should have never remade this picture. We'll wait and see...

Pretty In Pink Problematic?

I was reading an article about something and there was a quote from director Howard Deutch, who helmed Pretty In Pink. He said that Andrew McCarthy and Molly Ringwald did not get along during filming. I'm wondering a loud if that's true because didn't those two team up again in '87 or '88 to film Fresh Horses? But they sure had some chemistry for two people that weren't fond of each other. DVD owners of the special edition have said that Rinwald came across as arrogant during the commentary. I totally liked Blaine and Andie together and wanted to watch Fresh Horses so bad even though it looked like a horrible film.

Deutch also directed my all time favorite movie, Some Kind of Wonderful. That's how he met his wife, Lea Thompson (who played Amanda Jones), who moved on to Caroline in the City. God, that was a bad show, wasn't it?

Oh, and I still haven't seen Fresh Horses.

MTV Video Music Awards

The VMA's are happening on Sunday in Los Angeles. British comedian Russell Brand will host and Britney Spears will open up the show; but not by performing. Too bad. It would have been good to see if she could've pulled it off.

Rihanna will perform with TI as will Christina Aguilera, The Jonas Brothers, some other people, and Kanye West will close the show.

Presenters will include Slash, Taylor Swift (dating the middle Jonas), Paris "That's Hot" Hilton, Jamie Foxx, Michael Phelps, the cast of High School Musical, and some other people.

No Janet Jackson? No Madonna? What about the cast of 90210?

Maybe Cloris Leachman will present with Kim Kardashian.

Entourage Is Back

The 5th season of Entourage premiere's this Sunday and the cast gathered in New York (everything is going on in that city!) to hang out I guess. They were all gussied up. Executive producer Mark Wahlberg was in attendance as was Jamie Lynn Sigler, Carla Gugino, and Leighton Meester, who'll reappear on the show again and sing a duet with Tony Bennett. Leighton recorded an album during her short break from shooting Gossip Girl. Bow Wow was there too. Bow Wow. Bow Wow.

New Kids On The Block Release CD

The New Kids on the Block released their first CD in hella years on Tuesday with a party @ Marquee in New York City. Isn't their CD titled NKOTB? Isn't it? I listened to a few tracks and it's just okay. They better sing more of their old stuff when they go on tour.

The New Kids/Old Men showed up @ Best Buy earlier in the day to sign copies and take pictures with the fans.

I'm looking forward to this show.

Fashion Rocks

Fashion Week in NYC kicks off on Friday in Bryant Park. Lacoste, Rock & Republic, and BCBG Max Azria are just a few of the designers set to showcase their goods. Oscar de la Renta, Ralph Lauren, & Donna Karan will be doing shows off site.

Denis Leary of "Rescue Me" is slated to host Fashion Rocks, which tapes tomorrow @ Radio City Music Hall and will air next Tuesday. Performers include Justin Timberlake, Rihanna, Mariah Carey (what is it about her?), Beyonce, and others. Proceeds will go to Stand Up To Cancer, which will be broadcast on all 3 networks tomorrow with appearances by Ellen DeGeneres, Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Aniston, Katie Couric, and a slew of others. Fashion, Fashion, Fashion. HUGE industry.

CW Scores High Ratings; Kaitlin Cooper To Wreck Gossip Havoc

The struggling network, the CW, should be dancing a little bit today. For the second night in a row, they scored outstanding ratings. It isn't colossal or up to the standards of the 3 main networks, but they scored. 90210 had 4.9 million viewers for last night's premiere, Gossip Girl had it's highest ratings since it first premiered and One Tree Hill did just as excellent. Tonight is America's Next Top Model season premiere and that'll do just as great I'm sure.

Willa Holland, who played Marissa's sister Kaitlin on the OC, snagged a multi episode arc on Gossip Girl and she'll be paired with Jenny Humphrey (Taylor Momsen) to stir up some trouble of course. I love that casting coup and can't wait to watch those two little girls.

John Patrick Amedori has been cast as Aaron Rose, Serena's (Blake Lively) new boyfriend. In the books, he is so not this guy. I pictured him fine and tattered up, not to mention older. Do Blake and Penn "Dan" Badgley have it in their contracts that only unattractive people play their on-screen kissing partners? Did you see those girls Dan hooked up with in the premiere? Same for Leighton "Blair" Meester; Lord Marcus is okay, but a little wussy. Sebastian is a-okay.

Bones Season Premiere Tonight

I just started watching Bones recently and it's a good show. I know the basic premise of it and can probably catch on if I continue watching and ask the peeps who have been there from the beginning. Are there any out there who would be kind enough to enlighten me?

In any case, Emily Deschanel and David Boreanez return to FOX tonight with a 2 hour 4th season premiere as Brennan and Booth head to England to investigate a death. I will be watching.

I can't pinpoint where I've seen Deschanel before.

Leona Lewis was just singing on Regis and Kelly. Oh, she has nothing to do with Bones. The TV is on, that's all.

Palin Speaks Tonight

Tonight is the night a lot of people are looking forward to. Sarah Palin, John McCain's Republican running mate, will be making her speech tonight @ the RCN. Americans are just curious to hear what she has to say. In a span of a few days, Palin has been thrusted into the spotlight and is on the cover of numerous publications. Her past is being dug into faster than anything else it seems. As I stated in a previous post, it'll be very interesting to watch Palin debate Democratic Vice Presidential candidate, Joe Biden (I almost called him John, oops). So many people will be glued to their televisions when that takes place. Oh, politics...

Did 90210 Rule?

So what did you all think of 90210 last night? I thought it was alright, it held my interest for the 2 hours. But it was so exciting to see Brenda (Shannen Doherty) run up to Nat & Kelly (Jennie Garth) around 9:30ish. God, I almost peed in my pants! The other storylines unfolding seem okay. Silver is the most interesting character I think, Navid is cute, and if Harry (Rob Estes) does have an adult son with Naomi's mom, chances are they'll make it Ryan the teacher. That's my hunch. And Kelly's baby daddy is probably Dylan and not Brandon. Brandon isn't the type to be off in Belize somewhere if he knew he had a child, especially with Kelly.

Do You Need New Shoes?

My little drummer girl starts her first day of school tomorrow (Holla!) but the one thing I didn't get for her was new shoes. I did buy them, they're just not here yet. I ordered them online and if anyone knows me @ all, I am a HUGE online shopper. I bought my car online (carsdirect), my TV online (Amazon), little drummer girls laptop (DELL), and her shoes online (Nordstrom). But that's another story. So this begs the question; do you have to have new shoes to go with the new backpack and everything else that's new? Who's to notice? Yeah, yeah, I probably would. Poor little drummer girl; people will look down @ her feet and see her beat up footwear (kawawa).

I think we're going to end up taking a trip to the mall in Newark.

Looks like Cameron Diaz is still going strong with boyfriend Paul Sculfor. The two were spotted in Soho this afternoon strolling away.

Meanwhile, Sculfor's ex, Jennifer Aniston was caught dancing it up @ the Silvercup Studios in Long Island on Friday. She was shooting scenes with stars Tina Fey and Jane Krawkoski (is my spelling right?) for her upcoming appearance on 30 Rock. C'mon, admit it, the JA looks great, doesn't she? A Three Hour Heroes

Is this for real? NBC is supposedly airing a three (yup, count 'em, three) hour season premiere of Heroes on Monday, Sept 22nd. It's to make up for being off the air longer than the other shows due to the writer's strike. That should excite the loyal followers of the program. Me? I'm okay.

Two of its stars, Milo Ventimiglia and Masi Oka are in Australia promoting the 2nd season DVD. That's nice.

Queue The Theme Song! 90210 Is On Tonight

The moment is coming close to finally arriving. 90210 is premiering tonight on the CW with a two hour episode. It's sexier, it's hotter, and it's more risque. There's a lot riding on this premiere so we'll see if it lives up to all the hype that's been sprinkled all over the place. A part of the public's curiosity is the return of original cast members Jennie Garth (Kelly Taylor) and Shannen Doherty (Brenda Walsh). And I will admit, that is probably about 95% the reason I plan to tune in. I would have anyway but their appearances sealed it. Doherty is contracted to 4 episodes while Garth (whose contract is open-ended) will probably be on for most of the 13 episodes the network ordered. Regardless, we'll all be salivating @ any Brenda scenes that come our way. Squee!!!

Speaking of CW shows, Gossip Girl was great last night. I enjoyed Jenny's (Taylor Momsen) storyline and wished there were more Nate/Serena (Chace Crawford, Blake Lively) scenes on air that of course ended up on the cutting room floor. I didn't particularly care for the way S went back to Dan so quickly. What's so great about him? All he does is judge her. She should just stick to watching "The Closer" (the other Brenda) like she was telling Blair. But for whatever reason, I want them to get their shit together cuz I love Dan and Serena!

And what about One Tree Hill? Peyton's (Hilarie Burton) getting prettier by the season. I'm glad she got rid of those ugly, kinky curls. Watching Deb and Skillz is weird. And I can't comment on the rest since I took my meds last night and fell asleep @ 9:30 (Boo!). I did DVR it though so I'll view it later.

XOXO, Gossip Girl Returns Tonight

A few more hours and the awesome show that is Gossip Girl premiere's its 2nd season tonight on the CW. Oh yes! The fashion, the backstabbing, the sex, and the fabulous city of New York returns to the small screen for a whopping 24 episodes (please don't get canceled, please don't get canceled as I click my red patent loafers together).
The parental figures (Lily, Rufus (who may be in the premiere), Bart) on Gossip Girl don't show up until later episodes but there are plenty of adults swarming these first couple of shows (like Madchen Amick and author Jay McInerney).

The online following is massive, the wardrobe is crazy cool, the personal lives of the actors (Chace Crawford, Blake Lively, Ed Westwick, Taylor Momsen, Penn Badgley, Leighton Meester) are fodder for gossip, and yet the ratings are abysmal. We must change that!
Watch your dose of Gossip Girl! Holla! (I can't pull that off, can I?)

Natalie Portman In Venice

The Queen of all Busters, Natalie Portman, arrived in Venice a couple of days ago (I don't know the time difference) to accept her humanity award for social commitment and to also premiere her short film, Eve @ the festival.

Portman also attended the premiere of Birdwatchers Monday night.

Netflix the film Closer if you can and watch Natalie ("Alice") and Clive Owen rock the movie. Oh, and Jude Law and Julia Roberts are also in it.

Britney Spears in Vegas; Remember Richard Marx?

Britney Spears spent her weekend in Las Vegas and caught a showing of the Beatles Love show by Cirque Du Soleil last night. She seems to be heading towards a cleaner, better path. Good for her (and her kids).

I know there are Richard Marx fans out there. He had some good pop songs in the late eighties. And he's married to Janet Jones, who was in the little seen, yet very good movie, American Anthem (you know the poster is still being sold? Woo-hoo!) starring Mitch Gaylord. Anyone see that movie besides me and the ones I forced to sit down and watch? Anyway, Marx played the Highline Ballroom in NYC last Thursday w/ Vertical Horizon lead singer, Matt Scannell. And he was also on The Early Show. I'm guessing he has a new album? Good for him, he should push on through. Plus, Richard got rid of that mullet so he looks hot now.

New Kids On The Block Cancel Performance

The New Kids on the Block were set to perform on the Today show this morning (didn't they do that already back in May?) but decided it wasn't appropriate with Hurricane Gustav going on in New Orleans. Fans began lining up last Friday expecting close up dance moves by the manly New Kids (we know what those people did on their Labor Day weekend) on this sunny day in New York. Instead they were treated to autographs and pictures and the promise that they would have dibs for the rescheduled performance. Now those who came out of state will probably have to reserve a day off or call in sick. They're most likely fine with it.
