A couple more days to go until the 2 hour season premiere of 90210 (2.0)! Are you excited and just can't hide it?

SoapNet is having a marathon of the original series starting @ midnight tonight and I think it's going to focus on the BFFness of Kelly and Brenda in preparation for their reunion on the new version. Catch it if you're toiling around the house tomorrow or have it on during your Labor Day BBQ.

I love Shannen Doherty even more because she's a fan of Gossip Girl.

Halle Berry @ The Zoo, Me @ Long's

Halle Berry spent part of her Labor Day weekend @ the Los Angeles Zoo with 5 month old daughter, Nahla, and Berry's mom. Ms. Berry is not on the celebrity list of hawking her baby's picture to magazine outlets. That makes her even cooler.

I spent part of my Labor Day weekend @ little drummer girl's doctor's appointment, ditching the 10 mile line @ the In-N-Out for Taco Bell, hanging around Barnes and Noble waiting for little drummer girl to pick out some books, and perusing Long's Drugs in search of a better deodorant. And little drummer girl tried to get me to buy her 3 kinds of lipstick and a mirror.

Political Stance

On his 72nd birthday, John McCain made headlines earlier today by choosing Alaska Governor, Sarah Palin as his Vice Presidential running mate. In the last few hours, this virtual unknown political figure has had all these news blurbs about her streamed through the internet and on newscasts. Like, did you know that Palin came in 2nd place @ the '84 Miss Alaska pageant? And Perez already posted what looks like some old photo of her posing like it's some school picture.

Obama already commented on the fact that McCain chose a VP candidate that has no knowledge on foreign policies. I am down to watch Biden debate Palin in the coming weeks.

Something that people don't know about me is I follow all things political. I am aware about Drudge and watch MSNBC and know about all those cable news anchors. Often times I discuss news stories with my boss, Les. I try to school him on all things pop culture but his patience for it starts to wear thin.

It is the 21st century; Like some people have already stated, we'll either have our first African American President or our first woman Vice-President. Either way, it'll definitely be a whole new beginning.

Jennifer Aniston Is Not Desperate; Is She?

Why would Tim Gunn label Jennifer Aniston desperate? And high maintenance?! She's the coolest! Well, that's what I had thought up until recently. Only because I have noticed a difference when I see images of her out and about. She still looks great but it's like there's a sadness to her. Anyone agree? Her and her posse can tell the media and the public that she's the happiest she's ever been but then she has to let that actually show. Maybe I'm not making sense. It's Friday, it's viciously hot, and I'm working all day. On a good note (maybe), Aniston is currently shooting an episode of 30 Rock (Liz Lemon!) in NYC, her rep confirms but isn't giving away any details on her character. Regardless, the JA is still tops.Oy, I gotta pick up my dry cleaning.

Lipstick Jungle Adds Las Vegas Alum

Nothing going on today. I have a headache and am having some people irritations this crazy, hella hot day.

Barack Obama is scheduled to formally accept his nomination and give his speech on this final night of the DNC. Jennifer Hudson, Bon Jovi, and Bruce Springsteen will be performing in Denver tonight.

And NBC's Lipstick Jungle, which stars Brooke Shields, Kim Raver, and Lindsay Price, will be adding a recurring character played by Vanessa Marcil to interact with Shields' TV husband, who's some sort of musician. Does this mean no return to General Hospital for Marcil?

I think I'll go buy a cherry slurpee. Wonder if Les will see me sneaking out.

Gossip Girl And One Tree Hill Season Premieres

Monday, Sept. 1st is Labor Day. It's also the night of the CW's premiere of the much buzzed about Gossip Girl and the still going strong One Tree Hill.

And watch out, I have a spoiler comment - I just saw a scene from the 3rd episode involving Dan (Penn Badgley) and Serena (Blake Lively) and it was so heartbreaking. A little more upsetting than Brenda & Dylan's first break-up @ the beach (Losing my religion, anyone?) but doesn't quite top Ross & Rachel's final break-up scene when she tells him, "I think you should leave, I really think it's time for you to go now".

On One Tree Hill, Lucas (Chad Michael Murray) imagines what it would be like if he chose either, Brooke (Sophia Bush), Peyton (Hilarie Burton) or Lindsay (her first name is Michaela) to be with forever. C'mon, we know who he ends up with. But is it long lasting? And Skillz and Deb have relations...

A mini wave in celebration to me! Remember how distraught I was earlier in the month about the final I was convinced that I'd failed? Yeah, well relaxation can happen now since I found out I passed the class. Whew! Now moi can focus on the important things, like debating if I should purchase a new adding machine.

On another note, Bill Me Later is basically a credit card, isn't it? Why yes, I do believe it is.

Where's Keri Russell Been?

Keri Russell has been keeping a low profile lately. You'd usually see pictures of her and her baby around New York. Or maybe I just haven't bothered to look. I still have to see "Waitress", which looks really good and she did the blockbuster "Mission Impossible" with Tom Cruise not too long ago.

Remember how exciting it was when she started dating Scott Speedman in real life as their Felicity characters were getting together? I wonder why they broke up. They've even remained good friends according to Russell. Speaking of Felicity, Elena didn't die after all in the finale, right? Didn't we see her in the last scene all of a sudden? Gosh, it was so long ago.

Keri just completed shooting "Bedtime Stories" with Adam Sandler in LA so she'll be on the big screen soon enough. In the mean time, she's probably chilling with her son, River and husband Shane something.

Who Is The Mother? We'll Wait For It

How I Met Your Mother is set to premiere their 4th season on Sept 22nd and we'll see if Ted actually moves in with Stella (Sarah Chalke) during the course of her multi episode stint. And is Barney (Neil Patrick Harris) really starting to like on Ted's ex, newscaster Robin (Cobie Smulders), who's also set to move? What I'm looking forward to? Lily's wardrobe. And when is "Frizz" (New Adventures of Old Christine) coming back?

Listen To Sarah And Vinnie

So I'm listening to the bay area's radio station Alice @ 97.3 and it's so good. For those who know the Sarah & Vinnie morning show, it was such a treat to have former producer Uzette Salazar on the program today. She was filling in for vacationing traffic reporter, Kathy, who just recently came back on the air with them around the same time Vinnie returned. Uzette had a whole lot to say about what she's been up to the last six years and her and Sarah did allude to a mild tiff between the two of them when Uzette was let go from Alice years ago. But the rapport they have is still the same so it was funzo.

It's Tuesday, so that means Disney's Ariel's Beginning is out and I have to go get it since little drummer girl has seen the billboard ads all over the place. She'll be all into the Disney princesses and then go goo-goo for the Jonas Brothers. And those boys do what now? Sing, that's right...

WTF?! It's Dylan's?

Tell me it isn't true. I read an excerpt for 90210 that included a scene between Dylan (Luke Perry) and Kelly (Jennie Garth) watching "their" son, Sammy sleep and Kelly being agitated because per usual, Dylan went MIA. This better be some mistake and taken out! I think it's for the 6th episode or something. I know, I know...Who gives a flying fig. (ME!)

Networks Priming For Premieres

With Labor Day fast approaching, not only does it mean that summer is coming to a close and that classes have begun, but the new Fall TV season is about to get underway. Squee!!!

The CW is getting an early head start with the premieres of shows like Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill, and 90210 airing new episodes on Sept. 1st and 2nd. Fox's Prison Break will also premiere on Labor Day and I believe Bones will start on Wednesday, Sept. 03.

NBC released some promo photos of The Office (Sept. 25) gang and rumor has it that Michael Scott will be involved in a triangle with Jan ("That one night") and Holly, the one that replaced Toby. Pam went off to art school and made a new male buddy.
Grey's Anatomy, which also premieres on the 25th, we'll get to see Meredith & Derek cohabitate and Yang will get a new love interest. Erica and Callie will explore together and McSteamy will be a part of their storyline. The others (George, Lexie, Alex, Izzie, Bailey and the Chief) are there too.
Desperate Housewives will kick off their season on Sept. 28th and Pushing Daisies will re-appear on Oct. 1st so you'll get your fill of Swoosie Kurtz.

Do You Fondue?

I want to say that it was maybe two months ago when Goose, Buster and I had dinner @ this Fondue restaurant (Buster's pick) and it was the longest dinner ever! In fact, I still think it's going on. Because of the type of place it was, I would understand it would take a little bit longer, but it felt outright like an eternity. It sounded as if we were even repeating our conversation. Where can you buy a dress? (8:30)

We felt sorry for the patrons coming in close to 10:00; they had no idea that they should have brought their pajamas and some blankets.

The three of us will be attempting another establishment (not fondue) soon. My choice this time so here's hoping we won't need luggage.

Gossip Girl Window Display @ Henri Bendel's

Gossip Girl's costume designer, Eric Daman unveiled his window display @ Bendel's last night in NYC. Each display is supposedly inspired by the main female characters.

Leighton Meester, Taylor Momsen, Jessica Szhor, Matthew Settle and even Kelly Rutherford were on hand for the unveiling. The supporting female cast members who play "Blair's" minions were seen @ the event as well. Leighton brought along boyfriend Sebastian Stan, who appeared on two episodes of Gossip Girl as "Carter Baizen". Noticeably absent was Blake "Serena" Lively who was seen strolling the city with boyfriend Penn "Dan" Badgley earlier in the day.

A week to go before the second season starts on Monday, Sept 1st. And then the day after, it's 90210's season premiere. Oh, teen dramas...
